There is no report about the plans of BMW Sauber to support Ferrari by providing them BMW parts.
At the German Grand Prix press conference last Thursday, the media curiously asked Schumacher about the rumors and if he knows anything about the BMW issue, he answered: “No, nothing.” Schumacher will remain as the team leader of Ferrari in the upcoming 2007 season of Formula 1 Grand Prix.
Schumacher was also asked about the 17-point advantage made by Renault?s Fernando Alonso in the driver?s championship making Alonso the number one in driver standings, Schumacher said that he will continue to do his best to cut the lead and make it to the top. He also insisted that having quality tires ensures victory in the championships.
“I don’t think the heat has an advantage or a disadvantage for us. The subject here is tires and I think that for both companies involved – Bridgestone and Michelin, sometimes you get it just right and hit the right spot and sometimes not.
“This is the most important factor in deciding who wins the races.
