Virgin Mobile USA today announced that it is expanding the retail footprint of its Broadband2Go pay-as-you go 3G wireless Internet service.
The service, which is available, without contract, monthly subscription of activation fee, comes in the form of a plug-and-play USB dongle compatible with PCs and Macs. Data bandwidth is purchased using top up cards in USD10, USD20, USD40 and USD60 plans, with USD10 purchasing 100MB of bandwidth valid for 10 days, and the USD60 top up purchasing 1GB of bandwidth valid for 30 days.
The company said that the devices and top ups will now be available online at http://www.virginmobileusa.com and at Best Buy stores, Radio Shack, Sams Club kiosks, Walmart.com and Target.com. The Broadband2Go device retails for USD99. The MC760 Broadband2Go device operates on the Sprint Nationwide Network and was developed in conjunction with Novatel Wireless (NASDAQ: NVTL).
