Shangri-la is a

Shangri-la is a fictional place that was written about by the British Novelist James Hilton in the early twentieth century. It is situated somewhere in the Himalayas that is difficult to find. Strangely enough, you might be surprised that a lot of people have tried to locate this place. How obsessed can they be? Gerontologists are professionals who make it their business to paint bleak pictures of aging as an all downhill process with increasing loss of skills, functions, and quality of life. As such people who follow after their works find it difficult to ever accept this inevitable part of life. They walk into their old age with a pessimistic viewpoint and remain unhappy through the most of it. There are movements for the promotion of acceptance of old age amongst the aged in the United States. Conversely, there are also those that decry it. People such as gerontologists think that being old means a loss of skills and functions, as well as a reduction in overall quality of life. The worst part is that they are not quiet about it. Many people appreciate much of the work done by womens movements in America. In teaching freedom of expression for regressed womanhood, and books like Gail Sheehys Passages also help to paint a more positive, generative template for aging. Because of this, many are able to look forward to a not so bleak period in which they are senior citizens. While some people say trying to avoid or slow down the aging process is unnatural, I dont agree. I think everyone has the right to stay young and most importantly, look young for as long as possible. Forget about what others say. If you have the means to keep looking young for as long as possible, go ahead and use it.
